Emmy Rossum is the Best!
Emmy is my favorite actress/singer, as you probably have already guessed.
She was great in The Day After Tomorrow, and absolutely wonderful in Phantom.
Her CD, Inside Out, is also very unique. It's very ethereal and breathy, but it makes her voice sound really good. In some places, there are over a hundred tracks layed over each other, and on most of the songs, she doesn't even use intstruments -- her voice is used so many times that it's its own instrument!
Basically, I think she's an amazing actress, and I'll just leave it at that . . . for now. *evil grin*

Re: Emmy Rossum is the Best!
Oooooh, but lately I haven't been listening to her much.
The reason is because I found this other girl I really like. Her songs are fabulous!
Her name is Idina Menzel. She was in the original versions of Rent and Wicked on Broadway, and she was also in the movie version of Rent. Oh, and she also played Patrick Dempsey's girlfriend, Nancy, in the movie Enchanted!
She rocks almost as much as Emmy!
Just like Em, Idina wrote all her tracks herself, except for 1 song, and they're really good! La la la . . . I'm happy now.

Re: Emmy Rossum is the Best!
I took a break of PotO (kill me!) and ER, and I was on Youtube last night. I decided to type in "American Idol audion (I don't know if I spelled it right! lol) for Kelly Clarkson" When it came up, I thought "Wow.... this is why I loved her, she even sound like a winner in her audition! (Kelly Clarkson a.k.a. Season 1 winner of A.I., sing/writer of songs: Breakaway, Because of You, Since You've Been Gone.... and on and on....) Anyway, she was my first singing Idol, She didn't EVEN HAVE VOCAL TRAINING!!!!!!

Re: Emmy Rossum is the Best!
Yeah, Kelly is really great. I like My December better than her other albums, though. Never Again is fabulous! But then again, I've always liked powerful pop (Alliteration alert! lol) music.
But really, you should try Idina (subtle topic change. ). Her music isn't like Emmy's, but more like Kelly's.
If you want to try Idina, then I'd recomend her most recent album, I Stand.
Brilliant stuff. *sigh*
Although Emmy is still my favorite!!

Yup. *jumps up and down*
But is there anything to support that rumor other than that one line on that website? Any new info on the 2nd Cd? Or a tour? Or anything?? *wails*

Re: Emmy Rossum is the Best!
There hasn't been a post on this topic in over a year. Shame on us!!
Anyway, Emmy just got voted #5 on Teen Vogue's "Best Dressed" list for July. See it here: Num-ba Five
I love the dress, and the heels . . . though maybe not together. And the background poster is totally distracting, but she's still gorgeous.

Re: Emmy Rossum is the Best!
I just clicked on the link up above, and it didn't show Emmy!!
They've already switched to the August Best Dressed. Emmy was in the July edition. They have a fast turn-over.

Re: Emmy Rossum is the Best!
Uh-oh.
In the magazine Philedelphia Style, Emmy herself revealed that that rumor of her secret marriage and now divorce is true. She married some guy, and is divorcing (has divorced?) after only two years!! This doesn't seem like Emmy, does it??

Re: Emmy Rossum is the Best!
His name is Justin something, they were dating for quite a while. Everyone makes mistakes, it may not sound like her, but she probably thought she was in love and found out he wasn't the guy for her.

Re: Emmy Rossum is the Best!
I know, and I still *heart* Emmy, but . . . I'm an old-fashioned gal, you know?
If you're going to get married, I think it should be with someone you honestly-and-truly-forever-and-ever love. And yes, I know that sometimes things just don't work out, and yes, I like having an out if something gets awfully ugly. But before you make such a big commitment . . . well . . . I don't know.
I want it to last.

Re: Emmy Rossum is the Best!
YES, I totally agree. Unfortunately not everyone sees like that. Marriage is a lifetime commitment. Look at the old couples who got married at 19 and 18 who only knew each other for two days, they are still married! It's because no one makes the time to ACTUALLY work things out!

Re: Emmy Rossum is the Best!
Yeah, they just figure, "The heck with this!" They don't have the patience or attention span to give the relationship a little TLC (or something).
Re: Emmy Rossum is the Best!
Lol.
Actually, I probably wouldn't be so big on divorce if it wasn't for the fact that I go to a private Catholic school and have been taught about marriage being lifelong commitments.....yea......
But I agree with you all the way!
