Re: Erik/Christine
In the original book though, he heard her voice, which apparently wasn't all that pleasing. And he trained her, and her voice got very well. so he didnt fall in love with her voice at first.
But, in the play he sings He was bound to love you, when he heard you sing
As if her beauty didn't have anything to do with Raoul falling in love with her.
I'm arguing on both sides, how confusing! lol

Re: Erik/Christine
Well, I don't think he'd like her all that much if she was like, say, a valley girl. Or one of those phsyco people who enjoy killing things. I mean, no matter how great her looks were or her voice was, if she wasn't a nice person to talk to and share things with . . .
In my opinion, I don't think Erik could have been shallow enough to like Christine just based on what she was like on the outside.

Re: Erik/Christine
true. But, he always surrounded himself with beautiful things, she would've been the crown jewel of his collection.
Yet, because he wasn't a looker himself, he probably didn't
Is my defending both sides confusing you?? lol

Re: Erik/Christine
My dad mentioned the other day that he'd never thought that Michael Crawford was truly the right pick. He likes Gerard in the movie better, and I have to agree with him.
Who do you like better?

Re: Erik/Christine
MC.
Although I'm in love with GB (jennifer aniston must die!!! She flirted with my man!!!) I feel like MC was a the right pick. Believe me, he's a whole world better than the original choice before they switched to him. They at first picked Steve harley. UGH, I'm so happy they chose MC.

Re: Erik/Christine
Hee. Gerard. *drool*
What do you think of the "new" Erik, and the actor he's portrayed by, Ramin Karimloo?
(While looking up his name, I just found out that he played Christine's father in the movie!)

Hum, he's okay. The soundtrack of Love Never Dies is on iTunes. I'm not very impressed.

Re: Erik/Christine
I ordered off Amazon, and am waiting to get it. I wanted it before this week, when rehearsals really get crazy, but it hasn't come yet.
I know it's not as good as the original, but I'm still curious.

Re: Erik/Christine
It's not as good, but it's still better than any of the new musicals that are out on Broadway now. Ramin sounds like he'd make a better Raoul.
